Education Credits Training hours from the 2008 Professional Development Seminar can be applied to the recertification requirements of the Missouri Division of Fire Safety Fire Investigator Certification program. A total of 12 hours in Session I and 19 hours in Session II will be conducted. Attendance will be monitored and is required to receive a certificate for these hours. Selected hours from this Professional Development Seminar can also be applied to the continuing education requirements for peace officer certification in Missouri. The Missouri Division of Fire Safety is an approv ed P.O.S.T. provider and is cosponsoring this conference. The Association's primary activities involve fire and fraud investigator training. Each year P.F.F.I.A. hosts a statewide conference to provide continuing education for investigators. Hours from our seminars can be applied for re-certification to those investigators certified by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety. The Association also contracts with the Division of Fire Safety to provide the state's 40-hour Fire Investigator Course required for eligibility to take the state's Fire Investigator Certification test. |
